En-Vision America has developed ScripTalk talking labels, a solution for audible pharmacy labeling benefiting the blind and low vision community. ScripTalk labels are attached to a prescription bottle or package and programmed with all of the printed label information. At home, the patient places the medication container on a prescription reader unit and hears the label read aloud with a press of a button. A ScripTalk app can be substituted as a prescription reader if the patient uses a smartphone with RFID capability.
The patient will hear the entire label read aloud including:
- Drug Name, Dosage, & Instructions
- Warnings & Contraindications
- Pharmacy Information
- Doctor Name
- Prescription Number & Date
